Eberhard Feltz, born in Königsberg, began to play violin at the age of seven. He studied in Berlin and Leningrad.
Since 1963 he is teaching violin and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“ Berlin. In various master classes throughout Europe and the USA, he has secured a distinguished international
reputation as a teacher. He is the long-time mentor of string quartets like Vogler, Kuss, Faust, Atrium, Calder, Ebène and soloists like cellist Nicolas Altstaedt.
